WHAT ARE THE WBB CHAMPIONSHIPS?
Each WBB season ends with a WBB Championship Tournament to determine the Best Bboy on Earth™ for that season. Each WBB Championship event showcases a lineup of the world’s best Bboys performing their Breaking sets to advance through 4 levels of Battle, each with three battle rounds to become champion.
HOW DOES A BBOY WIN?
To win, a Bboy must advance through 3 levels of Battle—the Sick 16, Xtreme 8, and Ultimate 4 and win at Championship Finals.
WHAT IS A BATTLE LEVEL?
Each Battle level has three battle rounds where each Bboy’s Breaking skills are tested in Footwork, Powermoves and Burners.
WHAT IS A BATTLE ROUND?
A round of competition where each Bboy performs a specific and required Breaking set of moves in either Footwork, Powermoves or Burners to Breaking music
HOW ARE BBOYS SCORED?
Bboys are scored by a panel of judges using WBB’s sports regulated 100-point scoring system based on 10 elements fundamental to Professional Breaking sports: Performance, Execution, Form, Speed, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Difficulty, Balance and Creativity.
HOW ARE SCORES DISPLAYED?
After each round, the WBB leaderboard is displayed showing the scores and positions of each competitor. Each competitor develops their competition strategies based on their opponents’ executions, their leaderboard position and their drive to win.
WHO RUNS THE EVENT?
The host manages, guides and instructs the competitors through the competition, as well educates audiences and viewers.
WHO INTERVIEWS THE ATHLETES?
Throughout competition, WBB’s Co-Host interviews competitors to get a deeper insight into the competitors’ competition strategy, daily routines, training and personal life.
WHEN ARE THE BBOY DOCS SHOWN?
Bboy video documentaries are shown throughout the competition portraying inspiring personal stories of the obstacles Bboys have overcame or the challenges they are currently facing.
